Luminato is Toronto’s international arts festival dedicated to performance, media and visual arts, and programming that cuts across traditional artform boundaries. Luminato works closely with Canadian artists to support the development and creation of distinctive new work as well as presenting today’s most exciting artists from around the world. The 2018 festival runs June 6 to 24 and extends from its previous 10 days to 19, the intended festival length for future years.

Six-time Grammy Award-winner Arturo O’Farrill and his 18-piece band will electrify the Phoenix Concert Hall with their groovin’ Afro-Cuban jazz. Son of beloved Latin jazz musician Chico O’Farrill, Arturo is a legend-in-the-making. Pianist, composer, and educator, best known for his contributions to contemporary Latin jazz and his lively performances with his Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, he delights audiences around the world. Arturo and his Orchestra are also a mainstay at Manhattan’s Birdland, one of the most popular jazz venues in the US.
Fresh from O’Farrill’s 2018 Grammy win for Best Instrumental Composition for “Three Revolutions,” he will recreate the Birdland vibe at the Phoenix, for one night only. The 18-piece Orchestra, with O’Farrill on the keys, is sure to make you move and guarantees a great night out.
